Significance Of Dahi Cheeni

Dahi Cheeni (curd and sugar) holds significant cultural and religious importance in Indian traditions. It is often seen as a symbol of blessings, as it is believed to bring sweetness and positivity into life. The combination is commonly offered during festivals or important events to invite good fortune, prosperity, and harmony. In religious rituals, especially when starting a new venture or celebrating milestones, people consume or offer Dahi Cheeni to seek blessings for success and happiness. It is also a customary offering during occasions like weddings or births, symbolizing the beginning of something sweet and prosperous.

After meeting with President Droupadi Murmu, Nirmala Sitharaman met the Union Cabinet and had the Budget approved. The Budget 2025 focuses on agriculture, food security, and rural development. Key initiatives include the Dhan Dhanya Krishi Yojna, benefiting 1.7 crore farmers in 100 low-productivity districts, and the creation of a Makhana Board in Bihar to boost fox nut production.

The Budget also introduces a six-year mission to improve pulses like tur, urad, and lentils, with central agencies buying them for four years. The Kisan Credit Card limit will also increase to Rs 75 lakh, helping farmers access more financial support.
