Defence stock jumps after receiving ₹247 Cr worth order from central coalfields Ltd 


One of the small-cap railway/defence stocks engaged in manufacturing a wide range of heavy earthmoving equipment catering to the mining and construction industry, vehicles for defence forces, and coaches for the metro and Indian Railways. 

The stock has jumped after receiving an order value of Rs. 246.78 crore from Central Coalfields Limited for the supply of 48 state-of-the-art BH60M rear dump trucks.

On Thursday’s trading session, BEML Limited’s share is positive by 0.19% from the previous close of Rs. 3,700.10. The stock opened at Rs. 3,746 and is currently trading at Rs. 3,707, with a high of Rs. 3,748.05 and a low of Rs. 3,634. The market capitalization now stands at approximately Rs. 15,437.62 crore. 

What happened

BEML Limited has secured a substantial order worth Rs. 246.78 crore from Central Coalfields Limited (CCL). The order includes the supply of 48 state-of-the-art BH60M rear dump trucks, along with spares, consumables, and comprehensive after-sales service support. 

The BH60M Rear Dump Truck is a high-performance vehicle powered by a Cummins engine delivering 480 kW (644 FHP) at 2000 rpm, paired with an advanced Allison transmission.
