Jenna Ortega, who became a global sensation overnight for portraying Wednesday Addams in the Netflix series Wednesday, has opened up about her new-found fame in Hollywood.
In an interview with MTV, the 21-year-old actress revealed that she is still “adjusting to her own fame and success.”
For Jenna, “it’s definitely an adjustment.” The Miller’s Girls also shared that she is very “grateful to be where she is.”
The American native latest released film is Beetlejuice Beetlejuice in which she played the role of Astrid Deetz.
Talking about the trend of remaking iconic films with female leads, Jenna said, “I love that there’s a lot more female leads nowadays.”
She further said, “I think that’s so special, but we should have our own. I don’t like it when it’s like a spinoff I don’t want to see like ‘Jamie Bond.’ You know? I want to see another bad***.”
For those unversed, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, which is a sequel to 1988’s Beetlejuice, was released on September 6, 2024.
