King Charles and Kate, the Princess of Wales, were both diagnosed with cancer earlier this year and received treatment, with the latter’s treatment being completed in September.
As he continues treatment, the monarch reportedly held a meeting with Kate discussing Prince William’s ascension to the throne.
Now, media expert Michael Levine says the meeting shows Charles’ close bond with the future Queen.
Speaking to The Mirror US, he explained, “King Charles’ private meeting with Kate Middleton amid their shared health battles underscores their deep bond and highlights the human side of the monarchy.”
He continued: “This revelation of vulnerability and mutual support reflects a powerful narrative of resilience during a pivotal moment for the royal family.”
He added: “As the palace reportedly plans Prince William’s ascension, these personal challenges bring a relatable dimension to their public roles, fostering admiration and empathy worldwide.”
He further noted that this can help the public better relate to the monarchy, saying, “Such moments of authenticity can strengthen the monarchy’s connection with its audience, reminding them that even the most revered institutions are built on human stories.”
