Here’s my Oliveda Makeup Review! Makeup meets skincare with the brand new Olive Rose Skin Tint Serum. I’m sharing all about this new product and my honest thoughts.
She sounds like a brand new baby girl, but Olive Rose is the brand new Oliveda makeup line! The very first (of many) products to launch in this line is the Skin Tint Serum.
Olive Rose Skin Tint is a buildable, hydrating, brightening formula with a dewy finish. As a mix of skincare and makeup, it features the main antioxidant ingredient in all Oliveda products: hydroxytyrosol, plus hyaluronic acid. It is also formulated without any water, so it doesn’t run off with sweat. This is considered to be the last step of your skincare routine after moisturizer – the polished, glowy finish!

The Ingredients
Hydroxytyrosol:
- Potent antioxidant derived from olives.
- Fights free radicals, which can contribute to premature aging.
- May help improve skin elasticity and even skin tone.
Hyaluronic Acid:
- Excellent humectant, meaning it attracts and holds moisture in the skin.
- Provides deep hydration and plumps the skin for a smoother appearance.
- Can help minimize the appearance of fine lines.
No True SPF:
It’s worth noting that this is a tinted serum, but does not contain SPF, so I still have to layer with my favorite face sunscreen.
Why Hydroxytyrosol + Hyaluronic Acid?
Hydroxytyrosol and hyaluronic acid are considered excellent additions to a skin tint because they provide both powerful antioxidant protection from environmental damage (thanks to hydroxytyrosol) and deep hydration (due to hyaluronic acid), resulting in a natural, healthy-looking glow while simultaneously addressing concerns like fine lines and dryness, making it a great choice for a lightweight, skin-benefitting makeup product.
My Thoughts
I really love it! It is on the liquid-y side like Ilia and Daybird. It goes on very smoothly and doesn’t settle into lines. The coverage is great. I tend to use a little more than other brands for a more buildable coverage, and I love that it has anti-inflammatory properties and is free of fragrance, alcohol, silicone, sulphates, parabens, and EU allergens.

Choosing A Shade
Take the shade finder quiz! It’s AI generated and seems to be pretty accurate.
Olive Rose comes in 18 shades and more to come. It can be worn alone or with foundation over the top. You can also use lighter colors to highlight and darker colors to contour. The shades are really forgiving!
Before + After
I have my eye makeup done, but nothing on my face in the before. After, I have Olive Rose and a little blush!
I am wearing shade 05.
