Gold futures settle at record ,000/oz as U.S. growth worries unsettle markets

Front-month gold futures edged higher Monday to finish at the much-anticipated $3,000/oz mark, setting a new record-high settlement, as markets focus on an expected slowdown in U.S. growth.
